About Amy Thome

Overview & Experience
Amy, a native of Rockwood, graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2002, with a B.A. in Government and International Studies and a B.A. in Spanish. She attended Notre Dame Law School, earning her J.D. in 2005. Thereafter, she served as law clerk to the Honorable Charles R. Wilson for the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, United States Courts. Since becoming an attorney, Amy has worked primarily in state and federal government, including as a managing attorney responsible for the oversight of a state agency’s legal practice across five counties. In 2023, Amy returned to Somerset County to continue her legal career. Her primary areas of interest are civil litigation and trial practice, personal injury, business law, estate planning, and real estate.
Amy is an active member of the Somerset County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Rotary Club of Somerset. She is also a proud member of her local fire department, serving the community as an Emergency Medical Technician.
